The year my momma was born. Growing up in the near by
neighborhood East New York, I knew how Brownsville was
and heard how it used to be. My toddler years (90s) were
spent there most of the time because of family. They all grew
up on Newport st and Thomasboyland. And I've heard
sooo many stories about how the area was in the 80s.
Definitely has changed, but it's still fairly dangerous.
